Abstract

The interpretation of Neapolitan vocal music has gained worldwide recognition, transcending cultural boundaries and inspiring diverse approaches to its performance. In China, where traditional vocal aesthetics differ significantly from Western traditions, the interpretation of works such as Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s aria «Tre giorni son che Nina» and the universally beloved Neapolitan song «O sole mio» offer fascinating insights into cross-cultural musical exchange.
