Підготовка фахівців бібліотечного профілю на базі Харківського інституту політичної освіти: історія, проблеми дослідження та музеєфікації

Abstract

Стаття присвячена підготовці бібліотечних фахівців на базі Харківського інституту політичної освіти — одного з попередників Харківської державної академії культури. Зроблена спроба реконструювати процес теоретичної та практичної підготовки майбутніх бібліотекарів вищої кваліфікації, склад науково-педагогічних працівників, що забезпечували освітній процес, перелік баз практик і список студентів — випускників 1930 р. Доведено, що поглиблення спеціалізованої фахової підготовки сприяло формуванню бібліотекарів як інтелектуальної еліти радянського суспільства кінця 20-х — початку 30-х рр. ХХ ст. Доведено, що відсутність комплексних архівних джерел ускладнює процес дослідження функціонування бібліотечного відділення Харківського інституту політичної освіти, його музеєфікації. Проте досвід попередників та можливості сучасного інформаційного суспільства забезпечили початок формування цифрової музейної колекції як основи збереження історичної пам’яті про діяльність Харківського інституту політичної освіти в 1929–1930 рр.

The purpose of the research is to reconstruct the process of training library specialists on the basis of Kharkiv Institute of Political Education, to identify the main problems of research and museumifi cation. The methodology. Methods of research that allow to solve the tasks and achieve the goal were historical approach, chronology, analysis and processing of archival documents, reconstruction, generalization and systematization. The results. For the first time in scientifi c literature, an attempt was made to restore the specifi cs of the educational process at the library department of Kharkiv Institute of Political Education. The list of disciplines of special training in the library science fi eld, the process of practical consolidation of the obtained theoretical knowledge have been reconstructed. The scientifi c novelty. The separation of the Faculty of Political Education of Kharkiv Institute of Public Education into a separate institution of higher education contributed to the improvement of the quality of training of students of the library department. Unlike the faculty, the institute taught specialized library disciplines from the first year. Theoretical knowledge of library construction, library technology, bibliography, methods of working with readers, book distribution, and methods of teaching library disciplines were consolidated during practical work that took place in the 2nd to 4th years of study. Graduates of the library department of Kharkiv Institute of Political Education in 1930 became the core of the intellectual elite of the then Soviet Ukraine. The practical signifi cance. The practical signifi cance of this article is to resume the process of training library profi le specialists in Kharkiv in the late 1920’s — in the early 1930’s. The analysis of the theoretical and practical component of student training contributed to the understanding of the development of the main directions of library education. In the future, this will help restore the history of library education in higher education institutions, which were the predecessors of Kharkiv State Academy of Culture, create museum exhibitions dedicated to the training of library specialists.
