Abstract

The study of the vocal-stylistic features of the performance of Chinese art songs, in particular Liu Wei's work «I Love You Bitterly», is extremely relevant in modern musicology. This is due to the growing interest in Chinese musical culture, which combines unique traditions with the specifics of modern art. The study of Chinese songs allows us to reveal new aspects of their emotional and figurative component and vocal technique, which, in turn, contributes to the deepening of knowledge about various forms of artistic expression. As Chen D. L. notes in the work «Chinese Folk Music and Its Modern Interpretations», the Chinese song is a synthesis of traditional poetry, music and performance practices.
